Born in Tehran, Iran, Sasan Goodarzi immigrated to the United States as a child and pursued his education, earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida and a master's in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Goodarzi's career began at Honeywell, where he held several senior leadership roles, and later at Invensys as the Global President of Product Group. He joined Intuit in 2004, serving in various positions, including SVP and GM for the professional tax division, Intuit Financial Services, and leading the company's operations in Canada and the UK.
In 2010, Goodarzi briefly left Intuit to become the CEO of Nexant, a global provider of smart grid software and clean energy solutions, but returned in 2011 as the Chief Information Officer. He later became the EVP and GM of the Consumer Tax Group and then the EVP of Small Business & GM for the Small Business Group.
In 2019, Goodarzi became the CEO of Intuit, focusing on leading the company in its mission to power prosperity around the world. In addition to his role at Intuit, Goodarzi is a board member of Atlassian and the founder of the Goodarzi Foundation, which awards grants to female students of Iranian descent who have migrated to the United States.
