On Aug 6 2012 Front Desk wrote, This Hotel is BED-BUG FREE.This report was from October of 2011, since then the aforementioned problem has been rectified.The thing to remember about bed bugs is guests bring them to the property from their homes but once the hotel knows about the problem the room is shut down and fumigated IMMEDIATELY.

On Jul 16 2012 Christina S wrote, We couldn't find anywhere else to stay for one night near Mystic and this was cheap and easy. We got bed bugs from our stay, and I write this as a warning to all. Check your bed before you stay here. Having bed bugs is one of the worst experiences you can ever have. A Foursquare check in had stated something about bed bugs as well but I stupidly disregarded it.

On Oct 12 2011 Went from home in Newport RI to Mystic CT for mini-vacation. Went out to dinner at popular Steak place, stayed overnight at the Day's Inn, Oct 9th to 10th, went to Mystic Seaport, then came home. When I woke up on Wednesday, Oct 12th, my legs were covered in bug bites. Just happened to have a doctors visit that day and she confirmed bed bugs.
