These 8 Easy Chicken Freezer Meals done in one hour will save you time throughout the week when you don’t have time to prepare dinner!
There’s comes a time where we all get busy in our lives and some nights there is no time to prepare dinner. For those busy nights, I have come up with 8 Easy Chicken Freezer Friendly Meals that can be prepared in one hour.
Each recipe is prepared in a Ziploc bag and put in the freezer until needed. When you are ready to cook, thaw in fridge for 24 hours and cook in the crock pot. You can cook while you run errands, at work, etc. and come back to having dinner ready. To make this easier for you, I have created a free printable shopping list with all of the ingredients for each recipe and a free printable of each recipe.

How long can these meals stay frozen?
Reply
Alison
If they are wrapped and stored properly they can last 3-4 months.

this would be even better if you have a meal sealer you can get all the air out and it will last even longer.

Are you supposed to cut all the chicken up or leave some whole chicken breasts?
denise
Amanda this was my question as well

Can’t you just dump the meal into the crockpot while still frozen?

I was thinking the same thing. If I cook mine while I am at work I need it to cook longer than that and thought I would start it frozen.

I always dump frozen chicken in the crock pot and set timer for the day. Some recipes are 6 hrs on low and others take 7-8 hrs on low.

Do these have to be cooked in a crackpot? Or could I bake them or cook them in a skillet?

How many servings in each recipe? My apologies if it is listed – I scanned and couldn’t find it, but I could just very well have missed it. Thanks.

Wondering about how many servings? And also do you serve these over rice or what are your suggestions..?

I see that the recipe for teriyaki chicken calls for cut up chicken, are the other recipes cut up or is the chicken breast left whole?
Reply
Alison
The others are left whole unless it says to cut it up. Hope that helps!

I think these are great. It would be really easy to pair say the salsa chicken with some refried beans and corn tortillas for one meal, or the Asian chicken with some rice and steamed veggies. I love how easy you made things, I think it would definitely save time in the kitchen and also money on the grocery budget.

Can you add veggies and other stretchers to these before you freeze them? If so, will that affect the cooking time?
Reply
Alison
Yes, you could add veggies to these recipes.

Could you do these in the instantpot?
Reply
Alison
Yes, they can.

Can I put frozen chicken breast into the bags when I’m making them?
Reply
Alison
I would suggest not doing so only because it might make the meal watery and the marinade will not be able to soak into the chicken.

great thank you! Also can I put them in frozen and cook for 8 hours? This is my first time tying this, thank you for the great recipes.
Reply
Alison
Yes, you can cook them from frozen. You just need to cook them longer. 8 hours would be plenty of time.

These are perfect for my parents who are having trouble managing to make meals these days. I can make the meals and, hopefully, they can throw them in the crock pot. if I halve the recipe because there is only 2 of them would that change the cook time? Thanks!
Reply
Alison
No the cook time would be the same. The only way it would be different is if you are using a large slow cooker for a small amount of food. Adjust cook times based on how full the slow cooker is, not on halving/doubling or whatever the amounts. Slow cookers are designed to be about 3/4 full. If they’re less full than that, you need to reduce the cooking time.

Alison
Usually a 6-8 quart depending on how much ingredients there is.

It just says “chicken breasts”, I’ve seen 6 ounce chicken breasts and 10+ ounce chicken breasts. What size do you use?
